In the realm of outrageous purchases, there have been many interesting things to buy like gold plated food and adornments which go far beyond the simple fashion of 14K gold bracelets. There is apparently a company that is now offering gold and diamond encrusted contact lenses for people who want to have jewels surrounding the iris of their eye instead of just an interesting color. Apparently the lenses are designed to allow for normal eye functions and will not prevent normal operations like blinking. The lenses are even designed to keep the eyes from drying out.

Many of today's homes do not have a cohesive decorating style because furniture and decorations are often not purchased at the same time and unless someone makes a supreme effort to only purchase matching decor it's likely a home will sport a variety of different themes.
